AIIMS performs its first living donor liver transplant in an adult

The 42-year-old woman, Madhavi Ghosh, donated 65 per cent of her liver to her husband Ranjan Ghosh, who had been suffering from liver cirrhosis for a long time and transplantation was the only option to save him. Both the donor and the recipient are stable after Tuesday's transplant, and will be under close observation for the next one month.
