Madras high court asks medical college to deposit Rs 2.7 crore capitation collected

Justice R Suresh Kumar has made it clear that if Sri Muthukumaran Medical College Hospital and Research Institute denies collection of the capitation fee, then it would have to face a probe by the CB-CID. The court has also directed to maintain the deposit in a separate account and use it to provide scholarship to meritorious students in the academic year 2023-24.
