Another 'wave' of COVID is most unlikely: Virologist

All Omicron sub-variants, including JN.1, are much less virulent than earlier variants, said Dr Jacob John, virologist, in an exclusive interview with TOI. Given that any new sub-variant of Omicron seems to have a slight advantage in transmission than the previous ones, he said, JN.1 can be expected to be all over India, if tested for it.
