21mn diabetics in India have impaired vision; 2.4mn of them blind, finds study

A total of 42,147 Indian adults aged 40 years and older were screened and 7,910 people with diabetes volunteered for the study, which found that 26.5% of people with diabetes (2,224) had perfect 6/6 vision. Another 52.4% (4,347) required glasses.
