Dozens of CDC employees, including top scientists, “disease detectives,” and the entire Washington office, were notified Friday that they were being laid off as part of the Trump administration’s latest federal cuts. Key units, including the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report and Epidemic Intelligence Service, were affected.
